Ty Solar, Western Solar Limited

One of our main customers is Western Solar, who we have been working with on their projects Ty solar and Pentref Solar, North Pembrokeshire. Ty Solar Homes are being developed to provide zero energy, solar powered affordable housing, and the companies' aim is to build 1000 homes over the UK in the future. We have supplied these low energy homes with triple glazed passive windows and doors.

Thomas Joinery designed its range of doors and windows and they have been licensed by the German Passive Haus Institute, It is the only manufacturer of the high-secification timber items in the UK. The range has been manufactured in Pembrokeshire for the last 4 years. Passive windows and doors are highly insualted and significantly improve the energy efficiency of a building.

  Thomas Joinery have been commissioned to supply all the Passive Windows & Passive Doors to this project, the prototype was launched in November 2013 by the first minister for Wales Carwyn Jones. Please visit our "News" page for more articles on the project.
